Station 46 has a long and illustrious history serving the citizens of Houston. In 1956, as part of a large annexation, Station 46 was opened replacing the old Sunnyside Volunteer Fire Department at the corner of Corinth and Stassen. In 1976 a new station was built and the station was relocated to its current location. Now located at 3902 Corder and Scott, Station 46 serves the areas of South Union and the surrounding neighborhoods.
