Station 46 celebrated its 50 year anniversary on Friday, November 17th.
U.S. Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee was the keynote speaker, with words also from State Representative Garnett Coleman.
Linda Gillespies open and closed the program with song.
Chief Boriskie and the command staff attended as well as the current District Chiefs of each shift - Chief Page, Chief Bisbano, Chief Hooker and Chief Julian. 
Sheila Jackson Lee presented a flag to station 46 that was flown over the United States Congress. 
Station 46 received many proclamations and resolutions, including President Bush, Governor Perry, U.S. Congressman Al Green, Mayor Bill White and many other local and state politicians. These are available for viewing at station 46.
