Captain Moore returned to District 46 when promoted to Captain and spent his next 29 1/2 years at Station 46. His teaching abilities and friendly personality earned him many friends - and much respect. Captain Moore was the type of officer that would not ask any of his crew to do anything he wasn't willing to do himself. It's been said that he would out work even the newest rookie, even till his last day at the station before his retirement on Jan 19th, 2001. "Captain All Time", as he was known, fit the nickname well.

Captain Moore is missed by not only his friends that knew him well but friends that know him only by his legacy. Without a doubt, he is missed by all at Station 46.
