Three Ways To Make Your RV Sell Faster

If you are looking to sell your RV, then it is a good idea to make sure it's in great shape. There are plenty of people who are in the market for a used RV, but it can be a competitive market. The better your RV looks compared to similar models, the faster it will sell. You don't want to just take a crude photo with your phone and then slap it up online and wait for the buyers to roll in. That won't result in anything but a disappointment. What you need to do is make sure the RV is in tip top shape, both inside and out. Here's a list of what you should do:

Head To The Auto Body Repair Shop

If there are any dents, scrapes, or other issues caused by collisions, they need to be remedied. This is one of the biggest things you can do to improve the chance of your RV selling. When people see a dent, they get turned off by the thought of some sort of accident. Besides looking unattractive, the potential buyers will imagine the worst sort of collision possible and fear that the RV was permanently damaged (such as a warping in the frame) which might cause expensive repairs down the line.

So, contact an RV collision repair shop and have them go over the entire exterior of the RV and remove any dents. Also, it's important to not just remove the dents but to make sure the paint that is reapplied matches. You don't want the dent banged out and a small bit of metal exposed without paint. If that is left to sit, rust can develop and this will ruin the look of the vehicle.

Replace Any Outdated Appliances

One of the most important parts of an RV is the interior. You don't want people to walk into the vehicle and see that the fridge or other appliance are old and outdated. It might not be enough to simply clean the fridge or microwave. If they are old, it would be a good idea to just swap them out and install new ones. While the new owners could go ahead and do this, they might be turned off at a tiny outdated stove with burnt grills, a yellow stained microwave, or other items that you could easily replace.

Steam Clean The Carpets and Upholstery

Nothing will kill a sale faster than a smelly RV interior. So, once the outside has been fixed up, it's important to have the carpets and upholstery (in the case of fabric) steam cleaned. This will remove the dirt and, more importantly, the smell. So, when the people come to look at the RV, they will walk in and not be hit in the face with the smell of your old dog, muddy dirt, BBQ food, or whatever else might be embedded into the carpet fibers.
